April 25, 2007 Customs expands truck e-filing at border crossings The following article is excerpted from the 24 April
2007 edition of "The Journal of Commerce". Customs and Border Protection continues to make
electronic truck manifest filing mandatory at ports along the United
States-Canada border. Truckers crossing the border in Michigan and New York
will be required to file manifests via Customs' Automated Commercial
Environment one hour before arrival beginning May 24, 2007. Electronic filing will be required at ports in Vermont, New Hampshire and western North Dakota beginning July 12, 2007. …
